Important Update 2026

Eligibility Certificate from NMC is now mandatory before departure. University verification can be done online on NMC portal. FMGE will be conducted twice a year.

Student Eligibility

Minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December of admission year
50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
NEET qualification is mandatory for all students
12th passed from any recognized board
Must obtain Eligibility Certificate from NMC before departure

University Requirements

University must be listed in NMC's recognized list
Must be listed in World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS)
Minimum 5 years course duration (excluding internship)
Course must include clinical training in affiliated teaching hospital
English medium program preferred for better FMGE preparation
